"God So Loved the World"
18"x22" Charcoal on Strathmore paper
This piece aims to glorify all Jesus offered – His humble, great life, His death, and Rebirth – as seen from the viewpoint of Heavenly Father, of whom said Saint John in a breath: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son" (John 3:16)
“...that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”. This heavenly perspective of Jesus’ humble birth, elicited hosts of angelic acclaim. The Father of Jesus, seeing all from above, past and present, and future as well, must have joyed at the sight, and been proud in His heart, yet His Son’s mortal mission remained – to be lifted up cruelly on Calvary’s cross, then rise the third day again.
